Professional Organizers Provide Fresh Starts to Organizing Makeover Winners

Kendall Park, NJ– You’ve seen them on TV. You’ve read about them in the paper. Professional Organizers provide an invaluable service to time-crunched home and business owners. Whether it’s your garage, closets, business paper, computer files, memorabilia, or any area where you feel overwhelmed, a professional organizer can provide ideas, information, systems, and solutions. The long list of benefits from working with a Professional Organizer include increased productivity, reduced stress and more control over your time, space and activities.

In an effort to accomplish just this, a group of Professional Organizers called the Central New Jersey Professional Organizers (CNJPO’s), founded by Taryn Lamb, owner of Organized Havens, LLC, recently ran an Organizing Makeover Contest for the clients of Women Helping Women, a counseling service in Metuchen. The applicants were women who have faced traumatic experiences and are trying to overcome huge obstacles in their lives. The CNJPO’s are also volunteering their time and expertise in October to organize the new offices of Women Helping Women.

Women submitted applications for the contest detailing what areas of their homes and lives were chaotic, what situation led to their lack of time or motivation for order, and how they would feel once their homes and lives were more organized. The stories submitted were extremely compelling and tugged on the heartstrings of the Professional Organizers who are volunteering their time to help make a difference in these women’s lives.

In fact, the CNJPO’s couldn’t select just one winner so they decided on three! One of the winners, Linda Hanna of Piscataway, is a mother of four who recently lost her second child to leukemia. The second winner, Alyse Williams of Bridgewater, has faced a long, painful divorce for the past two years and is now a single mother of three daughters. The third winner, Margaret Grande of Sayreville, ended a bad relationship with the father of her third daughter nine years ago, moved in with her mother in a one-bedroom apartment and has since bought her own home for her family.

For the first winner, The CNJPO’s created a scrap booking room for Linda Hanna, so she can have a place to retreat to where she can organize her thoughts and precious memories of her son. For the second project, the CNJPO’s helped Alyse Williams tackle her paperwork and create systems for handling incoming paperwork. They also unpacked and organized her entire basement, so she and her children have a comfortable area to enjoy time together. For the third project, the CNJPO’s worked throughout Margaret Grande’s entire home to help her create order and have a more functional home for her and her children to enjoy.

Through these projects, the CNJPO’s have demonstrated how getting organized can really change people’s lives and improve the quality of their lives. They were thrilled to use their organizing expertise to help give these women a fresh start and help get them back on track with the lives they are meant to live.
